Amarillo Air Conditioning

Amarillo Air Conditioning was founded by Forrest and Mary Lou Stockdale in 1960 and incorporated as Amarillo Sheet Metal. Forrest began an association with Lennox Industries in 1955 and the company has maintained that relationship since that time.

Having been in existence for more than 50 years, we have seen many changes in our industry.

Refrigerated air was being introduced into the Amarillo area in the early 1950's. Most homes at that time had central heating with metal duct systems. Many of the older homes had floor furnaces and wall heaters. The major part of the job back then was fabricating and installing the sheet metal duct systems. The furnace was a smaller portion of the entire installation.

As the popularity of refrigerated air grew, we added air conditioning to our name because that was part of our operation, and we are Amarillo Air Conditioning & Sheet Metal, Inc. This is still our name, but we abbreviate to Amarillo Air Conditioning. It's much easier to answer the phone this way, and it does tell the whole story.

Family and locally-owned, Amarillo Air Conditioning owes its longevity and success to its customers and employees. We are now serving families that represent three generations.
