Stephen "Augie" Augustine was born in 1967 in Mansfield, Ohio. In third grade he won the grand prize for a book cover design. His art career stalled. However, in high school he spent more time and energy practicing his "numchucks". (As he called them.)

In 2010, Augie launched AUGART & Design Products to focus specifically on the interior design and art markets. AUGART specializes in custom wall coverings, art, printed acrylic, door numbers, theme design and custom fabrication.

Augie's clients include RNL Design, Boutique Apartments, Google/Vanity Fair DNC (Denver National Convention) Party 2008 , the Cannes Film Festival, Nickelodeon, Q Design, Studio R Design, Greenhouse Partners, Jeffery Elliot Design, Zeppelin Development, Insitu Architecture, Studio Trope Architecture, 2002 Olympic Games and Race for the Cure. He has also designed and produced decor for many Denver night clubs including: Bar Standard, The Juice Joint, Lotus, Mynt, Twenty Four Caret, The Living Room, Vinyl, Zen, Mo's and Monarck.

Augie's work has been featured on 9 News, Channel 12, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, the Denver Post, the Rocky Mountain News and 5280 Magazine. He was also a featured speaker at the ISA, International Sign Association conference in VanCouver, his topic of course, digital art and decor. Augie currently shows his work at Redshift Gallery in Denver. He has served as a panelist for the Mayor's Office of Art, Culture and Film, and is a former member of the Denver Design Council.
