Averie for All

My story is our story.
I am the daughter of a fifth generation Texan father and a Filipino immigrant mother. Both my parents worked two jobs each to provide housing, food, and healthcare for my family. I know what it's like to desire something better for my community - something better for Texas. Now, I am running for Texas House District 112 to ensure that every family and child can believe that everything here truly is bigger and better.
?
I was born and raised in McKinney, Texas. I attended Title 1 schools in Prosper ISD, a small, rural town at the time (Prosper's population was only 3,000 in 2003). I saw first hand how lawmakers in Austin failed my teachers and classmates. I became the first in my family to graduate college and SMU law school (J.D.) so I could advocate for safer schools, affordable healthcare, and all generations of Texans. As Miss Texas, I traveled more than 60,000 miles and taught over 100,000 students to celebrate our differences and respect the many cultures of our Lone Star state.
?
Texas deserves leaders that are a reflection of our communities. As your next representative, I will protect our longstanding Lonestar traditions and fight for our future generations.
