Arthur H. Boelter began his career as an IRS Revenue Officer (tax collections) in Chicago, and discovered a penchant for taxation law. Arthur H. Boelter spent over 10 years within the IRS including a stint with the Special Procedures Section. After earning his law degree in 1973 he became a trial lawyer with IRS Chief Counsel, prosecuting and resolving all manner of individual and corporate tax disputes. Arthur H. Boelter later obtained his advanced law degree (LL.M. in Taxation) at New York University. After several more years as a government trial lawyer, Arthur Boelter entered private practice to represent citizens who are at odds with the IRS. Since 1979, he has served individuals and businesses in the greater Seattle, Washington area and nationwide. Arthur H. Boelter handles all tax controversies, including IRS audits, appeals, offers in compromise, tax court litigation and criminal tax representation. He covers the entire spectrum: individual and corporate income tax, capital gains and property transfer tax, state inheritance or federal estate taxes and miscellaneous state excise and employment taxes.

Since 1973, Arthur Boelter has steadily accumulated the skills, knowledge and tactics necessary to defend taxpayers against the IRS and its legions of tax lawyers. He served ten years with the IRS, as a Revenue Officer in Chicago and with the Special Procedures Section and then as a Special Trial Attorney with Chief Counsel in New York, earning his LL.M. in Taxation along the way, before choosing Seattle, Washington to establish himself in private practice in 1979.
Representing taxpayers for 30 years, he still relies heavily on his insights into IRS procedures and decision-making to counter the government. Having resolved thousands of tax-related cases, Arthur H. Boelter is also highly qualified to give tax planning advice to individuals and businesses. His special focus is wealth preservation techniques to reduce capital gains and estate taxes, but he provides comprehensive estate planning services to integrate his clients' personal and financial affairs.
