Boulder Family Photo has been creating memories in Boulder, Colorado since 2013. We specialize in portraits of newborns, kids, high school seniors, adults, couples, families (and their pets), business headshots, engagements, and weddings.
Our founder, Ryan Lawrence, first developed his passion for photography while attending the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU Boulder), taking multiple classes working in the darkroom and developing film and prints by hand. When photographing people, he loves capturing the little details...a smile, a laugh, a warm embrace. Ryan's likable personality, sense of humor, and easy going attitude makes every photo shoot fun and memorable, and you will be left with special images that you will cherish for years to come!
Ryan attended K-12 in the Boulder Valley School District, and then went to the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU Boulder). After graduating in 2008, he lived in Taiwan for a year and taught English to elementary school kids. Then he headed to Brisbane, Australia for six months where he worked at a running store. Other adventures of his include working as a photographer for Princess Cruises in the Caribbean and Baltic Seas, as well as working at various golf courses in Florida and New Jersey. He loves the outdoors, whether running or hiking or biking, as well as playing guitar and drums, hanging out with friends and family, and traveling to the many beautiful places that this amazing world has to offer.
