Brundige, Payne & Company, P.C.is a local certified public accounting firm with a focus on providing professional services in the areas of accounting, auditing, tax, computers, and management advisory services to a broad range of clientele representing numerous closely held businesses and not-for-profit organizations. The firm was founded in March of 1977, and since that time has developed a professional staff with the experience, expertise, and credentials necessary to provide these services in a competent, efficient, and economical manner. The firm has a professional staff of fifteen accountants, including nine certified public accountants, with twelve of these accountants concentrating in accounting and auditing services, and the other three accountants concentrating in specialized tax or computer services. However, all members of the professional staff are involved in providing normal tax return preparation, tax law compliance, and routine tax consultation.
Principals of the Firm
Paul L. Brundige has over forty-two years experience in the areas of accounting and auditing services, and is currently concentrating on providing specialized tax services and consultation on financial matters to clients. Paul graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Belmont University and obtained a Masters of Business Administration Degree from University of Memphis. Paul is past president of the Memphis Chapter of the Tennessee Society of CPA's and has been involved at the state level of the TSCPA Taxation Committee.
B. Robert Payne is the firm's managing partner and also has over forty-one years experience in providing accounting and auditing services to closely held businesses. Bob is currently responsible for the firm's quality control in the area of accounting, auditing, and financial statement presentation and disclosure, as well as providing accounting, auditing, tax, and management advisory services to clients. Bob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from University of Memphis and has served on the University of Memphis, School of Accountancy's Advisory Board.
Richard L. Webb has over thirty-four years of experience in providing accounting and auditing services to closely held businesses. Rick is responsible for development and implementation of the firm's auditing standards, audit workpaper review, and audit staff training, as well as providing accounting, auditing, tax, and management advisory services to our clients. Rick holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from University of Memphis.
Richard A. Swope has over twenty-eight years experience in providing accounting and auditing services to clients. Richard is responsible for monitoring compliance of the firm's auditing standards, audit workpaper review and audit staff training, as well as providing accounting, auditing, tax and management advisory services to our clients. Richard graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Christian Brothers University.
