Bush Animal Hospital





The mission statement for our hospital is to nurture the special bond between people and animals by providing superior quality care to our patients and clients in a caring and compassionate environment. We are an AAHA member hospital with four doctors. The practice is a modern facility and offers laser surgery, full dental care, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital xrays for both dental and standard radiography. Radiographs are sent to board certified radiologists. Puppy classes are taught at the clinic by trainer and author Jan Bradfeldt.
Jerry Boggs, DVM
Dr. Boggs graduated from the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in 1974. Prior to that, he and his wife, Trudy, were gruaduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, after which they served in the peace Corps in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Upon completion of their service, he served as a director of one of the first in-crountry training programs developed by the Peace Corps. He was also very active with his sons in the Boy Scouts Troop 100 and was the Parent Committee Chairman for many years.
Dr. Boggs joined Bush Animal Hospital in 1975 and became owner and director in 1979. He was also one of the founding members of the original Emergency Veterinary Hospital for Eugene/Springfield. He has had many areas of interest in veterinary medicine over the years, including surgery, dentistry, internal medicine and dermatology. The hospital staff has developed areas of excellence in endoscopy, laser surgery, ultrasound, pain management and digital radiology.
Mary Yeager, DVM
Dr. Yeager is a 2002 graduate of Washington State University. After spending a few years in Pennsylvania to be close to her family, her love of the Pacific Northwest brought her to Eugene where she joined Bush in 2007. She enjoys internal medicine and surgery.
Devin Newman, DVM
Dr. Newman is a 2002 Oregon State graduate. He spent two years at a general and emergency practice in Pennsylvania before heading back west. He has a special interest in surgery, feline medicine and endoscopy.
Priscilla Gibson, DVM
Dr. Gibson is a 1996 graduate of Colorado State University and joined Bush in the summer of 2001. She loves all animals, and has a special touch with geriatric patients. We jokingly call her "The Cat Whisperer."
