I have always loved baking since I was a little girl. I've baked cookies, cupcakes and cakes for friends and family. A few years ago, a friend of mine was getting married on a budget and asked if I would make her wedding cake. I was scared of the enormous responsibility since I had no real experience in tiered fondant cakes. I wanted to decline, but she had so much confidence in my abilities that she insisted that I make her cake. I reluctantly agreed. I was not concerned with the flavor, because like I said, I always baked. I was concerned with working with fondant and stacking the cakes. The result was beautiful and professional. I asked her not to tell her guests that I made the cake as I was attending the wedding. I wanted non-biased reviews. As I watched the faces in awe of what I created and how it tasted, I knew that this is what I was supposed to be doing. Since that day, I have gone full speed ahead into the cake decorating world and have expanded my team to accommodate our high demand of orders.
