From its humble beginnings, Carson Veterinary Clinic has continued to strive for professional, compassionate, and attentive care for you and your pet. We are a full service veterinarian clinic located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Our friendly, courteous staff is committed to answering any questions or concerns you may have regarding your pet. At Carson Vet, we are dedicated to assisting you and your loved pets.
- Dr. Jim Carson is a 1978 graduate of Texas A&M. He loves working with small animals. In his spare time at home, he enjoys taking care of his cows.
- Dr. Ashley Guidry-Lemaire is a 2003 graduate of Louisiana State University. She has recently had an important addition to her family, Taylor Elizabeth Lemaire.
- Dr. Gregory Schmidt is a 2008 graduate of Louisiana State University. He has an interest and love for all things amphibian, avian and reptile!

Almost all surgeries are done using laser. With major surgery pets are computer monitored, including heart rate, EKG, Oxygen levels, Carbon Dioxide and Temperature. IV pumps and warming blankets are also used.
We also refer cases we deem needing more specialized diagnostics to outside sources such as surgical specialty hospitals or LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.
