John Lloyd graduated from the University of Alabama in 1989 with honors and received his Juris Doctor in Law from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1992. In 1992, he began his law career as an attorney with Shelby & Cartee Law Firm (now Cartee & Lloyd) in Tuscaloosa, where he has had the privilege of representing victims involved in accidents from all over Alabama and the United States. He has handled thousands of cases involving accident and injury law, recovering millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients. From 1993 to 2022, John also had the distinguished honor of being legal counsel for Alabama's United States Senator Richard Shelby's federal election committees.
