Cherry Point Animal Hospital
Cherry Point Animal Hospital was founded in October of 1998 in the Indian Springs community of Kingsport, TN. The hospital is located in the historic Barger House, which was originally constructed in 1887. During our short stay in the house we have made multiple structural changes to accommodate the medical and surgical needs of our patients, while maintaining our warm home-like environment.
Our goal at Cherry Point is to provide your pet with the ultimate medical care possible. We utilize and maintain a wide array of modern medical equipment and regularly search for the newest treatment protocols to insure the best possible outcome for any medical or surgical situation that may arise.
Dr. Michael A. Cherry moved to Kingsport after graduating from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. He is married to Dr. Louise Penfield-Cherry, also an Auburn University graduate. They both dearly love Kingsport and feel very fortunate they have chosen such a great place to practice and raise their family.
Our focus at Cherry Point Animal Hospital is to educate our clients with an emphasis on preventative care including physical exams, parasite prevention, dental care, and senior pet care. To ensure our staff is knowledgeable we stay current with the latest medical treatments and technologies by our regular attendance of training seminars and continuing education classes. We provide our clients with the education they need to make collective decisions on the best care for your pet.
