History of Children's Corner

In 1952, the original Children's Corner Nursery School was founded by Sister Margert O'Brien of Bronxville, NY. Once a small church, 10 Alkamont Avenue was converted into a 3-room schoolhouse to accept children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old.

Since then, Children's Corner has grown into 8 convenient and well-known locations throughout Westchester and Rockland County. In 2004, Children's Corner Nursery School became Children's Corner Learning Center, pivoting towards a more educational experience for earlier learners.

Children's Corner has created lasting and meaningful relationships with the communities, families, and children it serves throughout the years. This relationship-driven approach has led to us becoming a thriving organization that helps strengthen everyone in the community by providing an array of services designed to meet each child's individual need.
