Cullar & Associates, PC, CPA's is a full-service public accounting firm in South Bend, Indiana. Since 1983, we have provided audit and accounting, tax planning and compliance, litigation support, and advisory services to businesses, nonprofits, and individuals in the Michiana area.
We help our clients meet their goals with timely and cost-effective service. We do this by maintaining long-term continuity of personnel and client relationships; strict adherence to ethical standards; rigorous training; and simply listening. Our teams have interdisciplinary skills, the latest technology, and years of experience assisting clients in our community. Since 1982, our mission has been to provide solutions to clients' assurance, compliance, and planning needs with integrity and value. We do this by listening, maintaining continuity of of personnel, and always remembering our values.
Our firm currently consists of five Certified Public Accountants, two paraprofessional accountants, and our office manager. We provide assurance, tax, and consulting services to businesses with revenues up to $75 million, nonprofits with revenues up to $20 million, and individuals.
In September 2012, we received our ninth consecutive peer review report in which we received the highest possible report. Peer review is a detailed review by another CPA firm of our audit and accounting policies, procedures, and engagement performance to determine if we have complied with all professional and regulatory requirements. Richard J Cullar, CPA
Managing Partner
Rich is an Indiana Certified Public Accountant and the Firm's founder and managing partner. After graduating with High Distinction from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1977 with a BS in Business, he passed the CPA exam in his first sitting, receiving the High Grade Award for the State of Indiana and the Elijah Watt Sells Certificate of Honorable Mention nationally. Rich has thirty-five years of public accounting experience, and has supervised or conducted numerous audits of nonprofits, including those required under OMB Circular A-133, and businesses, as well as having wide experience in other assuraance services, taxation, information systems, and business consulting. In addition, he provides litigation support services to area attorneys for pension valuation and accounting issues. He has also performed peer reviews for the Indiana CPA Society and has served on boards of several area nonprofit organizations.
