Daddy Pete

Since 1907, the Smith family has been farming 250 acres of land in Stony Point, North Carolina. About 19 years ago, Alan Smith began exploring the world of composting. As the composting method was developed, he needed a name for the product. His great-grandfather, who originally started the family farm, was nick-named "Daddy Pete". It is in his honor that we proudly present to you our professional, organic products that we call "Daddy Pete's Plant Pleaser".

Honors

In 2008, Daddy Pete Farms was recognized as a North Carolina Century Farm. The state honors family owned and operated farms for 100 years of continuous agricultural heritage, which helps lead to the rich heritage of the state. This farm is honored by the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the North Carolina State Fair.
