Dr.. Mohamed El-Ghannam, Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Ain Shams University. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from Ain Shams University in the year 2000 with an excellent grade with honors. He joined the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Ain Shams University as a resident physician from 2002 to 2005, where he obtained a Master's degree in Surgery and He was appointed as an assistant lecturer in the department from 2005 to 2009. He obtained a doctorate in cardiothoracic surgery from Ain Shams University and was promoted to the position of lecturer in the department. He then traveled to the United Kingdom from October 2009 to December 2012, where he worked as a fellow at Liverpool Hospital and James Hospital. Cook in England and obtained a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgery in the specialty of cardiothoracic surgery in 2012. He then returned to work as a lecturer in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Ain Shams University and continued his promotion until he obtained the rank of professor in the department in October 2023. Dr. Mohamed El-Ghannam is considered one of the pioneers of minimally invasive cardiac surgery at Ain Shams University. He is also the head of the joint aortic surgery team between Ain Shams University and Royal Brobton Hospital in England. He held many administrative positions, such as Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit at the Ain Shams Heart Academy, then Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit at Ain Shams Specialized Hospital. He also worked as Head of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at the Saudi German Hospital, Cairo Branch, from 2016 to 2020, and currently holds the position Director of the Heart Academy, Ain Shams University. Dr. Muhammad Al-Ghannam has long experience in adult cardiothoracic surgery and has many published research in this field. He is also a member of many international and local societies in the specialty of cardiothoracic surgery, such as the European Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery, the American Society of Thoracic Surgery, and The Egyptian Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Egyptian Society of Critical Care Medicine
