Our Story

Growing up on the Outer Banks, Jeff and David were friends since childhood. Back then, David's Dad was a volunteer with Kill Devil Hills Fire Department. He taught David to appreciate being a volunteer as a priority while pursuing other business interests to support a family. Community is important.

After graduating, Jeff moved away and sold fire service products. He spent his days working with firefighters and EMTs, eventually being involved in pioneering transport ventilator technology. Over the years Jeff called on his background as an Outer Banker to assist fire departments in putting on shrimp boils as a way of fundraising. When coming home to Corolla, there would always be the bountiful boil dinner or steamer pot exploding with local seafood catch.

Now David and Jeff have come together to found Firehouse Boil Delivery. We claimed the Firehouse name and pay respect to local fire volunteers doing fundraisers - as part of our business we donate 1% of revenue to local Outer Banks volunteer first responders. We also believe in supporting local businesses. We are not just businessmen looking to make money on the backs of the locals. We are part of the community and we source from the community:

Our local shrimp source is a high school friend.

Our vegetable source is a local farmers market we've been using at our homes for years.

Our sausage is butcher shop fresh from Chesapeake.

We coach you to cook it like a local to make sure every helping is cooked perfectly from the first to the last. Our focus is on delivering a high-quality local experience that you create yourself. We want you to have the genuine OBX experience of making the boil happen like a local.
