Gertler Law Firm
When Diana was 33, she was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, a disease that would eventually kill her. When she learned that she had Mesothelioma, Diana knew she had a poor prognosis because she was a nurse that worked with Cancer patients, and had seen this disease and what it does to people.
She knew that Mesothelioma is a form of cancer, caused almost exclusively by being exposed to asbestos fibers, and that it attacks the pleura, which is the lining of lungs.
A person with Mesothelioma has to struggle and fight for every breath. And to make matters worse, this cancer will often invade other parts of the body as well.
Diana knew that there was no cure, and that it is horribly painful and is always fatal.
We were first introduced to Diana through her Mother. Our law firm was already working with the family in pursuing a mesothelioma claim for Diana's father, who had passed away after being diagnosed with asbestosis and lung cancer because of his exposure to asbestos.
