Grand Central Brewhouse

Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

Grand Central Brewhouse is a two-story brewery, taproom and beer garden located in the heart of the Grand Central District in downtown St. Petersburg. The brewery features German and Czech influenced lagers as well as a variety of ales poured directly from European-style serving tanks resulting in fresher beer. Expansive indoor and outdoor spaces welcome friends, families and dogs. For food, GCB offers elevated pub fare made to order from LaLa St. Pete. GCB has live music every Thursday through Sunday. In addition to public events, the second floor taproom and terrace can be booked for private events, such as business socials, weddings, rehearsals, engagement parties, birthday parties, non-profit fundraisers and more. Plus, any beer you drink at Grand Central Brewhouse is helping to do good for the community. Every month, the brewery selects three beers, and 15% of all sales from those brews go toward local charities through their GCB Brew Good program. From the time-honored ingredients and brewing techniques to the thoughtfully selected glassware, our beers pay homage to tradition. We offer a variety of classic styles with a focus on artisanal lagers that range from golden to black and crisp to malty. Our lagers are stored using European serving tank technology to ensure that every distinct flavor makes it to your glass as intended.

GCB's origins stem from a simple love of beer and craft breweries. After many years in the insurance business, Owner and Founder Kevin Milkey wanted to establish a new craft brewery in the community he feels very passionate about. The initial plan was to follow the path of most US craft breweries and convert an old warehouse, gas station, garage, or factory into a brewery, but then Kevin came across a large vacant lot for sale on Central Avenue in the heart of the Grand Central District and thought that was a perfect location for a new brewery. While discussing initial architectural plans with architect Tim Clemmons, we determined that the lot was big enough for two buildings, the second of which could be a restaurant which would provide food service for the brewery customers. So, what started out as an idea to renovate an old building into a small brewery became a new construction project with not one, but two buildings, each with a second floor and terrace and a large beer garden out back.
