Jennie Duffy, M.D.
Dr. Jennie Duffy was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she attended the University of New Mexico and received a B.S. (with distinction) in Biology and Chemistry. Her education continued at Harvard University with completion of a M.S. in Epidemiology and Microbiology.
She received her medical degree (with honors) from Baylor College of Medicine in 1978. Continuing her medical training at Baylor College of Medicine, she completed her internship in pediatrics followed by a residency in dermatology. She had post-residency training in pediatric dermatology.
Dr. Duffy is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine and has authored several journal articles and patient presentations. She served as Chief of the pediatric dermatology clinics at Texas Children's Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital from 1982 through 1985. She has been in practice since 1982 and joined Houston Dermatology Associates in 2006.
She is a member of numerous national, state, and local professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and American Medical Association.
She is active in many community organizations. She has been a volunteer physician at San Jose Clinic for over 13 years. She also serves on the board of directors and is medical director for the Houston Chapter of Amigos de las Americas.
Dr. Duffy and her husband have 3 children. They enjoy traveling and the Houston Ballet.
