Langlois Vital Nutrition Center
The Langlois family business was successfully started by Jeffrey's grandparents Les and Bertha Langlois at the urging of their son, Dr. Leslie Langlois, M.D. As a child, Dr. Langlois suffered from many health problems and encouraged his parents to open a health food store, because it was the "thing of the future."
It is one of the oldest and longest running health food stores in the state of Wisconsin. The first store opened in May of 1946 on 27th and Center St. They regularly sponsored health expos in downtown Milwaukee at the Expo center with hundreds in attendance and lectures by Paul Bragg (well known author). Later they opened other locations. Les and Bertha ran all stores with the help of their daughter Marcie Kerschner, until the death of Bertha in 1983. At this time Jeffrey purchased the family business. Since then the West Allis location has closed allowing the Wauwatosa store to expand into a successful nutritional consulting practice and retail store.
Beginning at an early age, Jeffrey Langlois also developed many health problems, similar to his father, who died of Crohn's disease at the age of 37. After Jeffrey graduated from UW - Madison in 1983 with a BBA, Jeffrey returned to Milwaukee with hopes of improving his own health which had further deteriorated. Modern medicine proved to be of no help to him, so he began taking classes and doing a lot of his own research. It took over 15 years to build his health back to where he feels better today than he did when he was 20 years old.
Jeffrey Langlois has studied with the top holistic doctors in the United States, if not the world. He is an Advanced Nutrition Response Testing practitioner, Certified Nutritionist, Certified Nutritional Consultant, Doctor of Traditional Naturopathy, Enzyme Therapist, Quantum Reflex Analyst, Quantum Biofeedback Specialist, Touch for Health - level II certified, a certified Rebirther and many more. Jeffrey's passion is to improve the health and vitality of the world through better eating, proper supplementation and energy medicine.
