Laura James Jewelry

A collector of Antique jewelry throughout her Mississippi upbringing, Laura's dream of merging her creative past in Fashion and Interior Design with jewelry became a reality in 2005 with the launch of Laura James Jewelry. Intrigued since childhood by the nostalgic and historical aspects of heirloom jewelry Laura naturally founded her business with Antique and Vintage components taking center stage. The sole designer and fabricator of her jewelry, Laura's timeless, one of a kind pieces inspired by her love of Nature, Architecture, Travel and Fashion were soon carried in boutiques across the US. To broaden her range, Laura honed her Metal-smithing skills at Penland School of Craft and by 2009 the demand for Laura James Jewelry had paved the way for her to open her flagship "Studio Boutique" in Charlotte, North Carolina where she has resided since 2000.

Within in her lofty window-filled storefront is Laura's studio where customers are able to customize their own pieces as well as shop her collections within the boutique. In addition to the jewelry she creates, Laura greatly enjoys reworking her customers' family jewelry into new designs, allowing them the opportunity to wear their sentimental keepsakes in a fresh way. Most recently Laura has begun cultivating a collection of fine Artisan Jewelry from other independent jewelers who also create their pieces entirely by hand. This collection continues to grow and Laura is thrilled to offer these emerging artists within her boutique to the Charlotte community.
