Our Doctors
Dr. Ray F. McKowen, D.D.S.
Dr. Ray graduated from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry in 1977 and moved to Springfield, MO that same year. Starting in a small office, he has expanded his dental practice over the years and has watched his business grow into a family-friendly dental office. Dr. Ray takes special pride in the landscaping and building design; he even designed the current building himself.
Dr. Ray has enjoyed treating many families over the years and enjoys the fact that the children he saw years ago are now bringing their own children in to see him. In his free time, Dr. Ray enjoys hunting, camping and canoeing in the beautiful Ozarks as well as 4-wheeling and trout fishing in southwest Colorado.
Dr. Chris McKowen, D.D.S.
Dr. Chris graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2003. He joined his father at their current location on Stewart Street just weeks after graduation.
Dr. Chris enjoys volunteering his dental services through his mission work in Mexico or Nicaragua every year. He also volunteers monthly at the local downtown Kitchen Dental Clinic to serve those in our own community. Dr. Chris also enjoys the outdoors including camping, hiking, backpacking and canoing.
Both Doctors are members of the Missouri Dental Association, The Greater Springfield Dental Society and 417 Top Docs.
