Miracle Plumbing
Time and time again as businesses grow, they often forget what brought the business the success they enjoy. Well, not Miracle Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling. Harvey R. Miracle started the business in 1927 at 400 9th St. in Canton, OH. His wife Fanny ran the number side of the business while Harvey did the installation and service work.
As the business grew, Miracle's customers wanted more from the service. Coal furnaces were being phased out, and natural gas furnaces were becoming more popular. Realizing the end of coal furnaces were near, Harvey brought on the heating division of Miracle. Soon Miracle was installing and repairing gas furnaces. Miracle was now able to install waterlines, offer a complete plumbing service, and install and service heating systems for homes and businesses. The business was growing rapidly. Miracle's reputation for high quality service was born.
In January 1957, Harvey R. Miracle passed away. His nephew Elmer Brown took over the business and Miracle's tradition of quality service continued.
Elmer shared the same beliefs as his uncle. He continued to grow the business by focusing on superior customer service and high quality products. With the growth of the business, Miracle needed a larger location. In 1970, Elmer closed the shop on 9th Street and moved to Walnut Ave. NE in Canton.
Elmer managed the business until the mid 1980's when he retired. After his retirement, Elmer's son Steve took over as president of the company. Steve continued to focus on service, but he envisioned Miracle Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling providing much more than what they were presently offering. Under Steve's management, Miracle has continued to grow. In 1988 Miracle added the Lawn Sprinkler division. The Lawn Sprinkler division installs complete lawn sprinklers for homes and businesses. They can even do an entire ball field - Thurman Munson Stadium, Hoover Football Stadium, and Massillon Baseball Field to name a few.
On December 21, 1995 Miracle opened the newest location at 2121 Whipple Ave NW in Canton. The building was totally remodeled and a showroom was added. In 1997, Miracle welcomed Re-Bath to the family. With Re-Bath, Miracle is now able to completely remodel a bathtub in one day. We are confident that this addition to the Miracle family will be a customer favorite.
We now employ over 30 people and are still growing. We are proud to have been a part of Stark County for the past 70 plus years. We look forward to a long and prosperous future here. We will continue building our business based on the principals of our founder, Harvey R. Miracle.
