PCs for People - Kansas City
PCs for People Kansas City provides free e-waste pickup and recycling of electronic waste from businesses, educational, and governmental organizations. Your data is protected through strict adherence to the highest standards of information destruction, hard drive sanitization, and all recycling is environmentally responsible. All technology is assessed upon arrival and if possible, is refurbished to like-new quality to support our digital inclusion efforts. Eligible customers can shop for affordable refurbished computers and internet service in-store or online.
Previously known as Connecting for Good (founded in 2011), the organization became part of PCs for People in 2020. In addition to providing affordable computers, internet service, and free e-recycling, our retail space offers free digital literacy courses daily.
During tax season, we host the VITA tax program, allowing Kansas City residents to have their taxes filed for free with the help of tax volunteers through the KC Metro Tax Coalition.
Our goal is to make a better future in the Kansas City area by empowering businesses and organizations to make a positive community and environmental impact.
