Richard G. Kim founded RGK Consulting to guide entrepreneurs through one of the most important business-creation steps: Raising capital. Entrepreneurship is a unique talent. It requires perseverance, vision and keen business acumen to execute an idea. Each critical stage, from conception to expansion, requires pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo. Richard's strategy is to provide critical guidance and to position entrepreneurs to successfully raise capital from friends & family, angel investors and venture capitalists. He takes an active role, supporting management to develop and advance progressive capital raising. This takes patience, consistency, transparency and a flexible approach.
Richard was previously with investment banks, Siemer & Associates and Hadley Partners, where he focused on leveraged buyouts and capital raises for various companies in the middle market. At Siemer & Associates, Richard focused on M&A, private placements and general corporate finance advisory transactions in the areas of technology and digital media.At Hadley Partners, he was involved with growth equity investments and leveraged buyouts in the media/entertainment, consumer products and restaurant sectors. Prior to working at Hadley Partners, Richard served in the United States Navy serving two deployments to the Persian Gulf for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Richard founded and funded KORUS-Export Management Company LLC., an import/export business which handles export operations for both international and domestic companies, and Sports Idea LLC., a successful business incubator providing human capital for innovative sports-related businesses. Richard remains an active participant in both.
Richard has deep roots in his community and is member of his local Town Council and Chamber of Commerce. He mentors both high school and college students seeking career advice and provides them the opportunity to meet professionals from within his network for the development of professional, interpersonal and networking skills.
