Salim Rana Vegas

Salim Rana is an explorer and an adventurer, both in his personal and professional life. This Visionary Entrepreneur has achieved a lot "Firsts" in his life. He is an individual with the ability to see what others don't. Some of his "Firsts" include creating the First Computer Cash Register in 1981, three years ahead of when POS Systems (Point Of Sale) first came to market. In 2007 he sold the First Lithium Electric car to a consumer anywhere in the world. In 2010, he was the First Non-European in the world to ever win the X-Prize. Salim was born in Kenya. His parents ran their business in the village of Sio Port. During primary school, he lived with his grandparents in Kisumu.
