Many small businesses try to do their own accounting. If you want to do that, we can help you set up an accounting system. It will include a chart of accounts that makes sense for your business, plus advice about recording transactions, setting up Quick Books or Peachtree, and maintaining business records.

On the other hand, it may be more cost effective for you to concentrate on activities that actually make money for your business and let us keep your books. If we record your deposits and payments as they happen, we can tell you at any time what your bank balance is and whether you're making or losing money. Accounting goes beyond bookkeeping by analyzing the numbers.

Sanderson Accounting, Inc. does not ask for any personal information through the internet. We request personal information only as needed for work you ask us to do.

To prepare a tax return, we will ask for your name, address, social security number, and birth date, plus a telephone number and/or an email address so we can contact you. Identifying information will also be needed for a spouse and any dependents. We'll ask for these data in an interview at our office, or in documents that you provide to us.

For certain tasks that we do for businesses, we may need the business name, address, and telephone number, the name and contact information of managers or owners, the business federal ID number, and checking account numbers.

Client data are not used for purposes other than the work for which they were requested without the client's authorization.
