Dr. Scott Bruggeworth is a charming, athletic, family man with a great sense of humor. He brings these qualities to his craft and career which is general dentistry. He is a favorite among patients of all age groups and demographics. Dr. Bruggeworth is able to gain the trust and confidence of even the most timid patients swiftly.
As a 1985 graduate from Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, Bruggeworth displayed early leadership capabilities among his peers acting as Captain of the Senior College Football team for four years. With a unique ability to balance athletics with academia, Bruggeworth brought his sports expertise to the forefront as a Personal Trainer at the prestigious Sporting Club in Philadelphia. It was here while attending the four year Dental Program at Temple University that he met his wife of 14 years, Annika. Dr Bruggeworth was able to maintain a job as a fitness trainer, while he finished the curriculum at Temple University and obtained his Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Dr. Bruggeworth graduated from Temple University in 1993.
As a dentist, the first position that became available to Dr. Bruggeworth was a resident position in the hectic Emergency Room of King's County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. After several months he was chosen for the role as Chief Resident at Maimonides Medical Center, also in Brooklyn, New York. He thrived in that environment and learned a great deal that enriched his knowledge in private practice.
During his residency however, Dr. Bruggeworth began to see the tremendous need for specialty dental care in communities such as can be found in Vineland and Atlantic City, New Jersey. He was able to build on this observation many years later.
The first dental office purchased by the Bruggeworths was the location in downtown Vineland. A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by he and his wife in the fall of 1999, occurred just weeks before the birth of their first child. There have been many milestones since that day, most notably the purchase of the Atlantic City practice concurrently with what is now a Cape May Courthouse practice. The building was recently purchased with the idea of future expansion in mind.
As Dr. and Mrs. Bruggeworth grew the practices they were blessed to have been able to secure the expertise of some very illustrious doctors, surgeons, and staff along the way.
Currently, Dr .Scott Bruggeworth his family has built their home in South Jersey. They are strategically located near the center of the Dental Offices they now own and operate. All their practices are doing business under the name of Signature Smiles, which originated from Annika Bruggeworth's advertising business. The business as a whole goes by the name of Winter Enterprises which is named for the Bruggeworth daughter, Winter. The real estate is owned by Scott Brooks L.L.C named after the Bruggeworth’s son, Scotty.
Aside from developing his ideal concept of one- stop dentistry, including all the specialty services such as Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontics as well as Dental Hygiene and General Dentistry under one roof, Dr. Bruggeworth offers his personal time in the community at every opportunity. He has spoken at the surrounding schools and done work with Head Start in the communities of Vineland, Millville and Bridgeton. Dr. Bruggeworth looks forward to offering his future service to the community of Cape May Courthouse as well as Atlantic City.
Signature Smiles is proud of their location at 1103 West Sherman Avenue in Vineland, New Jersey near the new Cumberland County Hospital. This practice is highly advanced technologically and its’ location with its proximity to the hospital, promises to be a very popular location. It holds eleven operatories and provides general anesthesia at the hospital as well as nitrous oxide at the practice for its specialty functions. In addition they accept a broad base of insurance plans.
Another of the Signature Smiles locations is a 15 chair facility on 27 South New York Avenue in Atlantic City New Jersey. Situated in the heart of the resort town of Atlantic City, this spot is conveniently located just a half block from the Atlanticare Medical Center Healthplex. The practice will be outfitted with the finest amenities and will provide the city with quality, multi-specialty dentistry for everyone.
