Smith, Phillips & DiPietro Advertising and Public Relations has been helping a variety of businesses market their products and services since 1932.
Over the years, SPD has grown to become one of the largest advertising agencies in Eastern Washington and now serves a list of clients that includes locally oriented businesses as well as companies that promote their products regionally, nationally and internationally.
SPD's full time staff of six professionals includes media experts, copy writers, art directors and support staff who have years and years of experience in helping clients get the most out of every advertising dollar they spend.
As a full service agency, SPD designs, creates and places advertising on television, radio, newspaper, magazine, outdoor, transit and other mediums. Advertising that is different enough to stand out in a crowd, yet works hard to sell our clients' products or services to the market that they want to reach.
SPD also has designed and created thousands of different types of brochures, direct mail pieces, product sheets, newsletters, annual reports and other collateral materials.
Because SPD has been so successful in helping our client partners prosper and succeed, we have developed many long-term relationships. SPD's account list includes a number of businesses that have been working with us for 10, 20, even 30 years.

Bob DiPietro, who moved to Yakima in 1960, got his start selling outdoor advertising in Yakima and Tri- Cities. Bob came out of Stanford University where he majored in history. He joined SPD in 1978 as an account executive. He has been part of the firm ever since, handling copywriting and account management duties. Bob and partner Rob Phillips purchased the company in 1995.

28 years with SPD
After graduation from WSU in 1978 and working for a couple of years in advertising sales for a daily newspaper, Rob Phillips joined SPD as an account executive in 1980. He has been part of the firm ever since, handling copywriting and account management duties. He and partner Bob DiPietro purchased the company in 1995. His love of the outdoors and passion for writing take up much of Rob's free time, but are also woven in and through his daily activities with many of his clients.
