Soko Bag

Soko Bag is a South Korean inspired restaurant and brewery in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, specializing in Korean fried chicken with one of a kind sauces, unique and delicious seasonings, and local craft beer, wine, and spirits.
Make no bones about it. Alice Chang and Shea Roggio, starting out on the pop-up food circuit with Korean-inspired food as Soko Bag, are onto something with their Korean fried chicken. Well, there are no bones about it. Wings? Nah. Chang and Roggio go all in with boneless thigh meat, sprinkling on bamboo salt (or jukyeom) as it comes out of the oil for a powerful pop of umami. Their tangy tteokbokki sauce for dunking is a pungent, sweet, and fiery counterpoint to the chicken.
We worked hard to create a customer experience that would bring authentic Korean food with a bit of American culture infused into the menu.
Once our chicken is marinated, we double fry and immediately season it with bamboo salt after coming out of the oil.
Next, you can choose your favorite sauce or seasoning for the chicken. Our most popular seasoning is snow chicken, which is covered in aged white cheddar powder.
Our most traditional Korean sauce is the tteokbokki, which is a pungent, sweet, and fiery counterpoint to the chicken.
