The idea for CSG was initially sparked after a paintball hit the solar panels of company founder, Steve Liptai. The Surprise resident and military veteran began researching how to clean the paint off his panels without damaging the unit. Steve had been regularly rinsing his panels with a garden hose and was shocked to learn the hard water spots left behind were actually doing more harm than good. Further research drove home the point that without proper care, solar panels lose an average of 30% productivity. Armed with this knowledge, Steve set out to create a business that would help ensure homeowners were getting their money's worth out of solar investments.
