Songcatcher Dachshunds

Welcome to Songcatcher Dachshunds located just outside historic Nevada City, about an hour and a half drive from both Sacramento and Reno. Nestled in the majestic foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California. We have been raising dachshunds since 1988. All puppies are born and raised on our 4th generation family ranch in a nursery specifically designed to meet all the needs of our moms and their puppies. We raise Mini (Adult weight 10-13lbs) and Tweeny (Adult weight 14-18lbs) long-hair, English cream long-hair and smooth coated puppies in most patterns and colors. Aside from our Dachshunds, we raise cattle, laying hens and also breed foundation quarter horses. Our adult dachshunds are fed a high quality raw food, and our puppies are fed both kibble and raw food. The benefits of feeding a high quality raw diet has been huge. Our dachshunds have their very own living quarters within the innermost part of the ranch with controlled climate and huge, dog park-like yards for them to run and play all day long.
