Home Theater Company has a long and proud history in Sacramento. Beginning in 1945, Manuel Schwartz started the Fabric Center, which expanded from 1945 onward. In 1961, J.D. Schwartz Inc., with roots in the fabric business, was founded. Over the next 25 years the business grew into a multi-chain store operation, with locations in malls like Sunrise Mall plus other stand-alone locations.
Manual's grandson, Bill Schwartz began working for the company when he was a child, and continued working for the company until present day. He has been Vice President of the company for 28 years, and graduated from U.C. Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. In 1993 Bill decided to take J.D. Schwartz, Inc. into anther direction-home audio/video. Thus, Home Theater Company was born.
Over the course of 17 years, we have grown into one of Sacramento's best known audio/video retailers, with a long and distinguished client list and thousands of successfully completed projects. We are well established in the area and proud to contribute to multiple charities and causes. We also have had a long-time advertising presence on KHTK radio and proudly feature Grant Napier as our spokesperson.
