Decide on a meeting point: Decide on a meeting point, which is convenient and suitable for both you and the carrier. For instance, you may choose a nearby parking lot if the way to your home is difficult for carrier truck to navigate. If some problem is making it difficult for you to personally hand over the vehicle for shipping, delegate the task to a trusted representative.
Be sure about financial matters: Before you meet the carrier, both of you should be clear about all financial matters. At the time of meeting, confirm details of contract, terms of insurance, information on payment as well as contact for vehicle hauling.
Clear your doubts: If you have any last minute doubts about any matter, check with the driver of the carrier company.
Ensure vehicle is properly prepared for transit before shipping: Remove all personal belongings from vehicle and secure any doors and latches. Empty fuel and check tires and batteries.
