The University of Alabama was founded in 1820. Since the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, they have shifted more focus to online courses, including many graduate programs.

For decades, we've been providing innovative pathways for people like you to earn a degree from The University of Alabama without having to be on campus. And as technology advances, so do we. What started as correspondence courses years ago has transformed into cutting-edge, technology-enabled instruction that connects you to the same professors who teach main campus students at UA every day.

To reflect more clearly who we are and what we do, we changed our name in 2021 from Bama By Distance to The University of Alabama Online. Don't worry - it's just a name change. We're still the same team, and our passion is still helping you succeed!
