Long Beach California is an urban utopia, running along the Pacific coast it covers about 50 square miles with a little over a square mile of waterfront. The beach stretches over seven miles down the west coast, which is where the name Long Beach came into fruition.

During its early settlement, this city was the fastest growing city in America for eight years in a row, from 1902 to 1910. Soon after these initial colonization, large oil deposits were discovered and quickly brought wealth to the city at an incomparable rate. The LBC, as locals call it, is within a very close proximity of the city of Los Angeles, with just about a half hour drive between. With a population of about 467,000 residents, Long Beach holds the spot at US 43rd most populated city, so there is always a social scene to be found. Long Beach is also the state of California's seventh most populated city. Long Beach has it all, you can go surfing, fishing, bike riding and more. Home of one of the worlds largest container port, there are always boats to watch come in and out of the harbor.

A modern city turned amusement park has attractions lining the land and sea, waiting for anyone and everyone to find their perfect day of fun. The Queen Mary, a retired ocean liner made into museum, takes families out to the ocean so all ages can have a great time. If adventure is on the menu, Knott's Berry Farm and Soak City offer roller coasters and aquatic rides large enough to thrill. Long Beach is home of the Aquarium of the Pacific, a larger than life underwater zoo customed with zones for families to physically interact with marine life or walk alongside sharks as they swim on the other side of inches thick glass. The homeownership rate for this city is about 40%, meaning over half of the population rents their homes or apartments.
