Founded on July 4, 1985, by Dr. Mark Russell, Whitesburg Animal Hospital combines the open and friendly attitude of small town Alabama with the sophistication of a modern veterinary hospital.
Huntsville is our home and the people of Madison County are our neighbors. This is a rich and vibrant slice of Alabama with strong communities and good people so it is an honor to serve our many friends and their pets. We also take great pride in the fact that our skills, expertise and state-of-the-art facility allows us to offer the very best and most affordable veterinary care to the communities of Madison County.
Many of us were raised or had some tight connection to farming here in the Southern states and grew up caring for a range of pets and livestock. We all currently have pets of our own and intimately understand that your pet is a special member of your family and that his or her health is important to you. This is why we make a great effort to provide and promote preventative care such as regular wellness checkups, appropriate vaccinations, dental care, behavioral and nutritional counseling, and more. Preventative care is the foundation of good health throughout the lifetime of your pet.
