Dr. John Lutz was born in Lima, Ohio. He graduated with honors with a B.A. in Zoology from Miami University (in Oxford, Ohio) and went on to earn a D.V.M. degree at Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. Between 1982 and 1986 he practiced in Gownada, NY, Langdon Vet Hospital in Meadville, PA and Western Reserve Vet Hospital in Pierpont, OH. In October 1986, he purchased Huber Animal Hospital from Dr. Frank Huber and renamed it Wintergreen Animal Hospital. In October 2004, he moved Wintergreen Animal Hospital to a newly built facility just one mile south of its old location.
